Social Studies Day & School Picture Day
Social Studies students present their learning to the entire SILC Community. We also take pictures of each Language, Social Studies and Elective groups as well as an entire school picture. All the students and parent wear their Indian dresses for the pictures
SILC Mela & Silent Auction
Annual and only Fund Raiser - the SILC Mela or Fair features the chaos of an Indian Mela with lots of fun for children in the form or games, fortune telling and other activities for children. What is a Mela without food? Usually vegetarian and non-vegetarian food platters are available along with Mango Lassi. We also use the opportunity to celebrate the SILC Birthdays so far with a community cutting of a large cake of all the birthday kids! All this goes on in the SILC Commons Area, while the Silent Auction proceeds sedately inside the Cafeteria.
SILC Graduation Day
It is the last day of the SILC School Year. Children present the language skills they have picked up during the year - on stage. Graduation certificates are passed pout and the much awaited SILC Yearbooks are picked up and children get Autographs from teachers and fellow-students! The on stage academic presentations are enriched by the presentation of dances prepared for the Festival of Nations by the Children, Youth and Adults of SILC. The event culminates in a community Pot Luck and there are lots of scenes of hugging and hand-shaking as kids and groups say adieu for the summer!

SILC has participated at this prestigious multi-nationality multi-event multi-day program for nearly 20 years now
Festival of India , Landmark Center, St Paul Downtown
SILC has participated at this show case event of the India Association of Minnesota from almost its inception and plays a key part in organizing this event also
Asian Dragon Festival , Lake Phalen Park, St Paul
SILC has participated at this event for the past 5-6 years and its performances are always very enthusiastically received
Camp Masala , Univ of St Thomas, St Paul
SILC has participated at this event from its inception and has been played a key role in its execution every year, even as the event itself has grown and evolved.
